I expected it to be a lively, modern capsule hotel. It turned out to be an unorganized, pretty noisy hostel.
What was good:
- Cheap laundry service
- Breakfast included (even if it's just toast, boiled egg, yoghurt and coffee)
- Walking distance to the subway
What was not good:
- There are no lockers for your luggage and designated space to store your luggage, so everyone just leaves it at the entrance to the dormitory. So in the mornings/nights there's constant noise of people unzipping their bags, looking for something, rustling plastic bags. People leave their dirty laundry there and it doesn't smell fresh. I often found socks just lying on the floor in the middle of the room.
- The showers are not as clean as you would expect.
- Towels have to be rented out!
- If you stay more than one night, the sheets aren't changed and the capsule isn't cleaned.
- The luggage room is not a safe place to leave your luggage. It's just a room and anyone can access it.
- As I entered my capsule, wiped the surface with a wet tissue and it definitely wasn't clean (including some hair)..
Bottom line: there are better places to stay at (personal experience) for less money with better amenities and more convenient location.

This is hands down the best hostel in Tokyo. Everything is exceptionally clean, the bunks are comfortable and have the right amount of privacy. The women’s dormitory felt incredibly safe and was silent almost 24 hours a day. The location is unbeatable. Highly recommend if you’re a solo female traveler!!

Loved my stay there. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming- easy to meet people as a solo traveller. However I will say I won’t be staying on the mixed dorm floor again, lots of the male travellers felt it was appropriate to wear their tiny boxers and no other clothes to wash their faces etc in the morning. Not a nice sight while you’re just trying to do your makeup lol.

Great spot in the heart of Shinjuku! While there are shared communal rooms, we were in a private 4-pod room for our stay (for four of us). The room is no larger than 300 sq ft. so if you have a ton of luggage, proceed with caution. We all had duffel bags and 3 ski bags and were able to keep the duffel bags in our pods and stacked the ski bags vertically in the room.
Bathrooms and shower rooms are large and (while busy in the mornings) it wasn't impossible to shower. Code only works for the floor you're staying on (which is great for security reasons) and there is a rooftop deck.
Staff is friendly and accommodating! We sent a package that arrived before we got there and the staff had no issue holding onto it for us. Thank you for a great stay!

I stopped here in January I would definitely come back here I thought the place was fantastic. The staff are incredible help you with all inquiries thanks for the phone charger and hairbrush 😊. They keep the place clean and tidy reception dormitories and bathroom facilities are immaculate everything works perfectly too. Comfortable beds always great after jet lag. Breakfast is included which I thought was great. I met some really cool people here that I would regard as friends for life I ll never forget my stay here the best places to stay in Japan 🇯🇵
