Maxime Ampen
An authentic Japanese sushi place by a sushi chef. He was it sled to be chef in Singapore but he refused. This place is really nice and cozy and one of the best nights j’ai have ever had.
But please call before going, if you can speak Japanese… we called and had the last 2 places. One guy came after us and was asked to leave. The chef explained he only had fresh products and might not have enough for too many. The sake was also something unique. A MUST Try

I highly recommend this place if you love sushi.
This was the best sushi and frankly the best meal I have ever had in my life. Make sure you make a reservation as you will be turned away or asked to come back later, it is worth going here!!

初来店の新参者です。夫婦でお邪魔しました。控えめに言って最高です。握りももちろん美味しいですが、煮付けもお薦めです。身のホクホク具合とバチっと決まった濃すぎず、甘過ぎない絶妙な味付け。大好きです。また、常連さんと大将、女将の掛け合いが気持ち良く居心地が良い。気がつけば入店から4時間経っていました笑。通い続けたいお店です。人気店なので、予約しましょう。

Had an amazing experience with Matoi, even if we did not speak a lot of japanese the sushi chef and host were very accommodating and kind. The Sushi special was amazing and we even got to make some sushi ourselves with the help of the sushi chef. Could not recommend it enough, it made our evening.

最高です。お寿司はとても美味しく店員さんもとても明るい方で丁寧に接客していただきました。
初見で予約もせずに行きましたが嫌な顔１つせず楽しくお喋りもしていただけました。
修善寺の観光名所や旅館などもたくさん紹介していただき次回また来ようと強く思うキッカケになりました。次回は予約して行きます！
