On my way home today, I stopped by Eaterys / this establishment. It appears that this establishment's kind of like a virtual kitchen... that has one eat-in place (the burger shop).
The images looked promising, and as an American, I like my hamburgers. However, I have to say that I was more than a little disappointed by this restaurant.
Regarding the food: I ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger with the 'Burger Sauce', with the side of French Fries and Chicken nuggets. It came out in a reasonable amount of time.
- The burger was mediocre, tasting like an under-seasoned pork-beef patty mix, on disappointing vegetables, not enough cheese, and kind of rubbery bacon. The patty was cooked well-done, and was in an odd wedge-shape, which helped it slip out of the bun as I ate. I couldn't tell you what the burger sauce was supposed to be, other than some kind of red sauce.
- The French Fries were okay, pretty basic potato wedges with light seasoning and maybe a bit too much salt.
- The Chicken Nuggets (which were about 100yen more) were just 3 nuggets, from what seemed like just a frozen nugget bag.
- The condiments brought to the table were seemingly not refrigerated, and the mustard bottle's inner cap was definitely not cleaned in a while.
Overall, it wasn't the worst burger ever, but for 1890yen, I expect a bit more.
Regarding the restaurant itself, it had a small seating area that looks like it was probably used for another establishment before. What was most concerning to me were two things. There were vegetables left outside in the approx 13 deg C weather, not cold enough for a 'nature fridge'. And there was an employee sitting out in the eating area with me, who seemed to have a cold or some allergies and no mask, separating the bacon out into individual wrappers for later use.
Overall, I was disappointed after reading the other reviews. If you're really hungry and in the area, it's not the worst you could, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.
I'll also be posting this review on the "Eaterys" restaurant page, as it seems each of the virtual restaurants are listed independently on Google Maps.
