A new standing bar has opened in the richly nostalgic downtown area of Juusan in Osaka. Nitsuya, located just a short walk from the west exit of Juusan Station, exudes the atmosphere of an old-fashioned public tavern.
As you step into the store, your eyes are immediately drawn to the black ceiling and the wall lined with sake bottles. Over the counter, the lively banter of enthusiastic drinkers fills the air. It's impossible not to feel the rich sake bar culture of Osaka in this lively atmosphere.
Glancing at the menu, your attention is captured by the reasonable prices. Draft beer is priced at 390 yen, and the famous tsukune-yaki is only 130 yen. The lineup of classic alcoholic side dishes such as oden and kushikatsu is solid, and the sweet and savory tsukune-yaki with a white miso base, along with the crispy kushikatsu, are exceptionally delicious.
Nitsuya added a new color to the streetscape of Juusan, where popular standing bars line the streets. It creates a space where the rich atmosphere of the old downtown area mingles with the glamor of the new bars. Surely, as you enjoy your drinks and snacks, you can taste the lively atmosphere of Juusan's streets.
