DEAN & DELUCA BAKERY CAFE Shibuya-ku, located in Meguro-ku, is a modern cafe with an impressive Parisian atmosphere. Located under the elevated tracks of the Tokyu and Toyoko lines, it also offers a spacious terrace where you can relax while enjoying the view of the passing trains.
The biggest charm of this place lies in the deliciousness of the bread baked on-site. The Rustique with walnuts and Gorgonzola has an exquisite balance of saltiness and texture. The bread dough is manufactured in a factory and finished in-store, providing authentic flavors.
Open from 7:30 in the morning until evening, you can relax during a wide range of hours from breakfast to cafe time. In addition to bread, combining it with coffee or iced tea will make for a fulfilling time. There are some concerns about the dead space, but the spacious layout and ample seating create a comfortable environment.
However, it is planned to temporarily close for renovation due to a change in business format starting from December 28, 2023. The cafe operation will end, and it will reopen in a new format in spring 2024. For those considering a visit in the cafe style, please take note of the timing.
Feedback from users indicates that the variety of bread is not abundant. Nonetheless, it is a valuable space where you can enjoy the atmosphere of a Parisian bakery cafe and relax with your family or pets.
