As others have said, it's at the top of a VERY long and steep slope. They offered to pick me up from the port, but I declined as I had my bike. I wasn't up to the challenge of riding up there though - pushed it all the way, which took around 15 mins. It's at the entrance to a large park with wonderful views over Habu and beyond. I arrived just as the cherry blossoms were starting to bloom and had a nice stroll around. Once you've made it up the hill, you won't want to make the climb again. The little town looks like it has some interesting little drInking and eating places though. There's also a supermarket to pick up supplies before you head to the hotel. The hotel has vending machines and some snacks etc. for sale. There was no bath or shower in my room (any room?). The public bath is very nice, but I had to time my visits to avoid a large group of students staying at the same time. The room itself was quite large, clean and basic. I had dinner and breakfast, which were both fine, though I could have done with a little bit more information about what I was eating (a Japanese menu was provided for the dinner course, but the waiters said very little as they brought stuff out in succession, perhaps as they'd decided I didn't speak Japanese).

Amazing sunrise and sunset views of the Setouchi islands, but jumping jehovah what an ugly building. Wifi patchy, no shower in bathroom. A very steep hill (take note if you're on a cycling tour).
