Along the embankment of the Nagara River in Gifu Prefecture, beautiful cherry blossom trees appear in spring. This is the "Nôhi Tokachi - Nagara Tei's Sakura-Osodomizakura Cherry Blossoms". A gravel pathway extends for about 4km, and about 1,000 cherry trees are planted on both banks.
When the cherry blossoms bloom, the vibrant pink petals cover the path. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll, as if you are walking through a cherry blossom tunnel. Wrapped in the scent of cherry blossoms, you can enjoy a relaxing walk.
At night, the cherry blossom trees on the south side are lit up, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Reflected on the surface of the river, combined with the cherry blossoms, it feels like you have wandered into another world. It is an ideal place for night watching.
This road is exclusively for pedestrians, so you can enjoy the cherry blossoms without being distracted by car noise. There are also rest spots, making it suitable for enjoying a picnic by spreading out a bento lunch.
The nearest parking lots are Chuo Market Parking Lot and Nagara Bridge East Parking Lot. You can explore the cherry blossom tree-lined road along the Nagara River on foot. During the cherry blossom season in spring, it is expected to be crowded with many tourists, so we recommend the use of public transportation.
