Maishin Sakuranomiya Park in Miyakojima-ku, Osaka City, is famous for its beautiful cherry tree-lined path along the Okawa River, spanning about 4.2km. In spring, about 4,800 Somei-Yoshino, Yamazakura, and Satokazura cherry trees create a vibrant scenery, attracting many flower viewers.
The promenades on both sides from Maishin Bridge to Toshima Bridge, Genpachi Bridge, and Temma Bridge are covered with blooming cherry trees, giving the impression of walking through a cherry blossom tunnel. At night, it is lit up, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
The park features a lawn square, a cycling road, a sandy beach, and other recreational facilities, allowing for various activities such as running, picnicking, and beach sports. The tranquil environment along the river is perfect for a leisurely walk or a relaxing time with a picnic.
