This park will be closed at the end of May 2024. It's a nice place with beautiful scenery and a variety of plants. There is a pond in the middle. There is also something like a small waterfall, which is soothing. There is a rod for crayfish right next to the park entrance, and although you will need bait (strong-smelling items such as dried seaweed), there are crayfish around the pond, so you can catch them. It is fun.

This is an ecological park in Ogata Village that I had seen the signboard for and knew the name of. I learned from the newspaper that the exhibition will be discontinued around June, so I decided to visit it for the first time! It will be transferred from Akita Prefecture to Ogata Village free of charge, and the park and training functions will continue, but the greenhouse exhibition will be discontinued. The plants will be relocated to Blue Messe Akita at the roadside station Showa in neighboring Katakami City. I headed there using my navigation system, but it was quite difficult to find the place, so when I got close, I finally arrived, relying on the information signboard on the side of the road. Probably because they heard about it in the newspaper like I did, there were a lot more people who came than I expected. It's a greenhouse, so it's slightly warm inside. The camera lens seems to be cloudy in the shadows. I waited until the lens settled down (^^;) The room is filled with a variety of plants, including beautiful flowers. Well, I don't know the names of most of the flowers and plants (lol) Go around the greenhouse in the foreground. Let's head to the next greenhouse! The next greenhouse is even warmer and has many tropical plants. Bananas and trumpet vines were growing well. Of course, the photos are just a few. There is still time until the museum closes, so please come and see it for yourself!

Admission was free. It seems to be positioned as an ecological park for the Akita Prefectural Agricultural Training Center in Ogata Village. The park consists of two parts: a natural park and an observation greenhouse. The natural park has a variety of trees and ponds, and you can learn the names of the trees, and herons often come to play in the ponds. In the greenhouse, you can enjoy seeing plants you have never seen before. I was very impressed, perhaps because I had only grown begonias when I was in elementary school. I think it would be very difficult to maintain so many plants. It was a place where I could feel the professionalism of the staff who carried out this task effortlessly.

I come here every year when the cherry blossoms bloom. This year I saw a plant that blooms once every 15 years. The inside of the house is a relaxing place where you can relax and enjoy the view. There are many rare plants and flowers that are worth seeing!
