Proposing a structure for an article introducing the pride of Kumamoto and the symbol of reconstruction, the Robin statue.
The 2016 Kumamoto earthquake caused tremendous damage to the prefecture. However, even in the face of such difficulties, the strong bond and will for reconstruction of the people of Kumamoto never wavered. As if embodying this attitude, Eiichiro Oda, the author of the manga "One Piece," made a substantial donation for earthquake reconstruction support.
Utilizing this donation, character statues from "One Piece" were erected in the disaster area. Among them, the statue of the beautiful and strong woman, "Robin," placed on the former Aso Campus of Tokai University, has fascinated many people as a symbol of hope for Kumamoto's reconstruction.
The earthquake museum "KIOKU" where the Robin statue stands is a facility that conveys the progress of Kumamoto's reconstruction while leaving traces of earthquake damage. Here, through exhibits and explanations by volunteer guides, the experiences and lessons of the earthquake will be passed on to future generations.
When you look up at the Robin statue, you can feel the strong desire of the people of Kumamoto for powerful reconstruction from her dignified gaze. As a symbol of Kumamoto's pride that has overcome the trial of the earthquake, this statue continues to give hope to the prefectural residents. Please be sure to visit here and feel the resilience of Kumamoto.
