My favorite hostel in Tokyo! Great vibe, incredibly wonderful staff, great location, incredibly clean and tidy, great beds, great breakfast. I can't say enough good things! I stayed here twice during my trip - had to come back. Love this place!

This place is awesome! The room and communal space was super clean. There were a lot of nice touches, such as fresh bagels for breakfast and free sweets in the foyer. Location was good too, close distance to various transport links and nice amenities in the local area anyway. I also forgot a very important item when I was checking out and the staff were very helpful in helping me recover what I had left even though I was back in the UK by that time.

I stayed in the mixed gender bunk bed style room. The price wasn't bad and I didn't find the location inconvenient. It's easy and quick to get to Tokyo Dome and Tokyo Station on the Tozai line train. There is a FamilyMart very close by. I've stayed in many hostel or capsule type hotels in Japan at the same price as this one. I found this to be the worst I've stayed in in comparison. I think if it was in Europe I'd think it was good, but compared to others in Japan it was disappointing and there were several small things I thought could be easily improved. The price was okay, but I wouldn't stay again. I think staying in another similar place for the same price is easily available and better. There is a free breakfast advertised as premium bagels. The first night I stayed, they had no bagels available and instead there was a plain bread which was disappointing. The second day there were bagels and I enjoyed the charcoal blueberry one which was good - just tasted like blueberry! About the bedroom, it was too hot for me. The pillow wasn't very comfortable. There was a tiny locker where you could fit your wallet or other small items, but it didn't feel very secure and was too small for me. I wish they had a bigger locker so I could leave something like a laptop safely. I was worried about my items. The room was cramped with people's big suitcases everywhere - maybe they should have a separate area for these? At other similar capsule/hostels in Japan they've had a locker for each bed large enough to fit a cabin suitcase. Also, I had to take a quick video call in the common area one morning. I was alone so I wasn't worried about inconveniencing other guests. But, two young staff members came in and were chatting loudly while they cleaned even though they could probably tell I was on a call. I thought it was a little inconsiderate of them. The shared bathroom wasn't large enough for the number of people staying, I found I had to wait for a shower to become available. In the shower room the plastic shelf they had for you to place your items was dirty, and there was only one very small and not structurally reliable hook to hang a bag on. I wish they would put a proper hook or two on the back of the door. There was also no shelf inside the shower capsule itself where you could put your toiletries. There was an absorbing floor mat in the shower room which visibly looked dirty and I didn't want to stand on it with my bare feet.

The staff were super kind and helpful! And they spoke good English. We stayed in a mixed dorm and there's a lock on the door so that's nice for safety. The room was pretty warm but I slept comfortably. People were quiet but I also used ear plugs and an eye mask and that was very helpful. There's only a tiny spot to lock valuables but since the crime rate in Japan is so low people here don't seem to be very concerned about theft and everyone just leaves their suitcases out. Each bed has extra room on the side to put stuff too so its near you when you sleep. There's two hangars and a towel rack in each pod which is super nice. The light is pretty dim in the pod but it's still nice to have. Good water pressure and hot. Not very much room to put your stuff while you shower. Theres shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The bathrooms are split by gender and they are pretty cramped. The sink to wash your hands in is tiny but functional. For breakfast you could get a super tasty bagel (4 flavor options) with butter, yogurt with granola, and tea or coffee. We loved it. Alternatively, you could order a bigger (western) breakfast from the kitchen if you'd like. The restaurant/lounge area was a really beautiful area! Super well done decorations.

I hated this hostel. There is no staff present for check in or check out, so good luck if you want to try to ask a question or store your luggage. You have to bother the cafe staff who are busy with their actual job so you wait 20 minutes…just to store your bags… There’s also absolutely no space anywhere for your bags in the rooms. You can barely walk with everyone’s luggage and shoes on the floor. I ended up packing my bag in the common room which is more like a small kitchen. Each capsule bed only has one tiny power outlet so come prepared with a charger that can charge multiple devices. The thermostat in the rooms is strictly controlled and there is a dehumidifier blowing hot air all night, so you will feel hot especially if you’re in a top bunk. I didn’t even stay during the height of summer when I imagine it’s even worse. Regarding the location, I was happy with it, but I wanted to be in Kagurazaka because there were specific things I wanted to do there. If that’s not the case for you, the location isn’t optimal. Beware the subway station by the hostel is extremely hostile for travelers. Tons and tons of steep stairs with no escalators. There is supposedly an elevator entrance but I never found it despite using the map at the station and the Google Maps waypoint. I saw a couple other travelers with suitcases struggling to find it as well.
