Ukishimagahara, once a vast wetland, has now been transformed into a precious natural park. Walking along the promenade, you will be washed with the peaceful scenery of the wetlands. The moment when the majestic figure of Mount Fuji peeks through the tall reeds is truly a magnificent sight.
As you progress along the wooden pathways, you will encounter a treasury of plants unique to the wetlands. From the endangered species of 'Hime-Hakka' to blooming flowers in every season, the park is a paradise for plant enthusiasts. Detailed guide materials are available in the management building, so be prepared in advance and fully enjoy the nature observation.
In the spacious grassy area, you can enjoy a picturesque picnic overlooking Mount Fuji. A quiet environment, delicious food, and the captivating view make it a luxurious time. There are also playground facilities, making it a perfect place for families with children.
Although the park is located along National Route 1, the entrance can be hard to find, so caution is necessary. We recommend arriving by car, as there is a free parking lot near the park entrance. Please note that pets are not allowed, so please be aware in advance.
