Park • 3-chōme-2-24 Ekimaechō, Nankoku, Kochi 783-0002, Japan
This small park in Nangoku City, Kochi Prefecture, preserves the hometown of Takashi Yanase, the creator of the popular character Anpanman. The park was developed on the site of his uncle Yanase's clinic, where Yanase spent his childhood, and features benches and a lawn square related to Anpanman.
As you walk through the park, you will come across life-sized benches of Anpanman's friends such as Baikinman and Currypanman. Children can capture memories with the characters in photographs. The statue of Anpanman standing on the green lawn is a symbolic presence in the park.
Although it is a small park by a narrow alley, the quiet atmosphere surrounded by greenery creates a soothing space. If you are a fan of Anpanman, why not stop by and feel the air of the birthplace? It is a precious place where you can experience the world of the work.
