The Tojin-daba Megalithic Group stands atop a mountain in Tosa-shimizu City, Kochi Prefecture. At an altitude of approximately 150 meters, a vast array of gigantic granite rocks, which have mesmerized people since the Jomon period, spreads out. These towering megaliths, reaching heights of 6–7 meters, imbue the area with an aura of ancient mysteries and wonders.
This site has yielded numerous stone tools and pottery shards from the early Jomon period to the Yayoi period. As a valuable ruin that conveys the daily lives of ancient people, it’s a must-see for history enthusiasts.
