The location is amazing, close to a small traditional park, close to the JR train station, 3 Sentos (public baths), restaurants and a beautiful lineal park, perfect for morning walks or jogs.
The rooms are very traditional, we rented a room with 4 beds in 2 bunker beds so it was great to have a private bathroom and a big room for the 4 of us, it might get a bit right and awkward if you are staying with strangers. But it was perfect in our case. Even tho the facilities are a bit dated, they work perfectly and were very clean.
The staff was nice.

To start this off, this is not a hotel it is a hostel, so some of the reviews you see are very confusing almost as if they was expecting a spacious modernised place in which you can spend hours in. The staff caused me no issues and cleaners come around everyday to clean bathrooms and check on the rooms, you can do your own washing and drying of clothes here, there is a microwave (amazing if you use the 711 just around the corner) a hob (did not use), multiple showers with amazing stone mats, a cafe/chill space and a smoking area just out front. I will say the storage space in the rooms for bags is very small and the locker set up is not the best. The beds are extremely comfortable and the location is beyond perfect. The review I have given is done with consideration for the price you are paying. 8.5/10 if I return to Tokyo I will definitely be staying here again

Affordable solution with good amenities but underwhelming presentation and layout
The main benefits of this place are access and affordability - 4 minute walk to Oji Station, or 5 minute walk from a bunch of shops, boutiques and restaurants and right next to the beautiful Asukayama Park, this guest house has an excellent location.
It offers various accommodation options such as dormitories, shared rooms, private rooms.
If you're looking for a place to sleep, it is a good solution. That said, if you're expecting a more luxurious experience, this is not the place - there is a persistent faint smell of feet in the air, most of the place almost feels dilapidated with exposed elements and all and everything feels very ''home made''. You can definitely tell they're maximizing space as the layout feels very labyrinthine and narrow with stairs with low clearance and such.
I rented a bed in a dormitory, shared with many other people - my very own bed had a working plug-in lamp, but the bed's fixed wall lamp was not working. Located next to a window, I had no curtain on my end, the curtain was probably accessible from the other bed behind me, so I had to rely on the use of an eye mask as the sun's rays would shine through
The bed itself was quite comfortable with a generous amount of bedding and fluffy pillow
Most importantly, all hygiene-related amenities were fortunately very clean and welcoming. The restrooms were well lit, clean with no foul odor, and the same can be said for the showers - clean showers with all necessary products (shampoo, body soap, conditioner). They are accessible 24H so no matter the time of day, you can get a nice hot shower!
The young lady that helped us check in was very friendly, welcoming , approachable and very accommodating
All in all, if you're solely looking for a place to sleep and don't mind an underwhelming decor, this is definitely a solid place thanks to its excellent location and price. Bed, restrooms and showers are very clean but the rest of the establishment looks a little dilapidated
I'd go back if I'm around and there are no reasonably priced accommodations, otherwise I may look elsewhere

Staff is unfriendly. Seems they are only there to collect a paycheck and not so much hospitality. Are you forced to work here ? Find another job if you don't like working here. Slippers are broken or worn out. Coin laundry doesn't work properly. 120 minutes to dry on high heat and clothes were still damp, not fully dry. Appliances are not well kept. Rooms are so-so, but could improve. Too much rubbish on all floors. Showers are normal and toilets have bidet. The food was meh, should have just gotten something from the combini instead. There's a kitchen, it's not all that. WiFi login names didn't match usernames provided. We had to use lobby WiFi instead of in-room WiFi. Music lounge has performances rarely. Not daily basis. We only came here for the music, there was no music. Maybe I'd recommend this if there weren't other options around considering the price. Sorry not for us, came here with my son. He was disappointed as well.

It's described as 2-star hotel, but it is not that level.
The main problems:
- All rooms smell bad and not healthy, especially bath and toilet
- The futon is very thin and the floor is hard, not like real tatami room. Its like sleeping on a wooden floor.
- No chairs or seat cushions
Additional problems:
- Reception was missing and we had to wait for 15 minutes, there was no way to call them
- No cups for brushing teeth
Telling it's a 2-star hotel is not correct.
