What I ate: Tenzaru soba First pickles, Japanese yam, cucumber, radish Salty but delicious The soba noodles are medium thick, chewy and have a mild soba aroma. The soup is sweet and spicy, with a thick sauce, freshly grated wasabi, green onions, grated daikon radish, and grated yam. Tempura includes shrimp, shiso leaves, enoki mushrooms, eringi mushrooms, pumpkin, and eggplant. The shrimp was cooked just right and the batter was crispy, but the oil was heavy. Tentsuyu has ginger flavor but no salt Soba-yu has almost no thickness. There were plenty of condiments and the pickles they served were delicious.

Oak Tree Soba Restaurant is located on the promenade along the abandoned former National Railway Shinonoi Line. (202310M) I was on my way back from the end of the abandoned railroad promenade, and it was just around noon, so I stopped by. It felt like going up the mountainside from the abandoned railway line for about 3 minutes until you arrived at a farmer's house. The store itself looks like a renovated warehouse. The shop owner was taking a break outside, probably because the customers had just left. When I entered the store, it felt like I was led straight into a large Japanese-style room. However, there are tables set up on tatami mats, so you can sit comfortably, so even people with bad backs don't have to worry about it. Since it's a soba restaurant in Nagano, I ordered a large serving of zaru and tempura soba. Fresh wasabi and soba noodles couldn't possibly be bad. The sauce was sweet and felt very delicious. I thought it was a little too much, but it was too little for a large serving, so I asked her to add more. Probably vegetable tempura made with local vegetables and shrimp. I didn't know what it was, but there was tempura that looked like Korean ginseng root. I tried it with trepidation, but it had no taste and was just delicious. (I forgot to ask something) When I was chatting with the friendly hostess, she served me chestnut rice rice before my meal. The sweetly boiled chestnuts are fluffy and delicious. After that, he brought me some yam along with the soba noodles. The sauce is delicious, so pour it over the yam and enjoy it. Also, the homemade pickles are cucumber, plum, and ginger. You can enjoy soba noodles while looking at the Northern Alps. A simple menu of zaru soba, tempura soba, kake soba tanuki soba, and tempura soba. It was cold this time, so I enjoyed the tanuki soba. The pickled vegetables served with the service are also delicious.
