This is the stylish cozy cafe that specialises in gateau chocolate. The staff is very friendly and the gateau chocolate tastes good with a crumbly texture. Chai is sweet and you can get a refill in 45 minutes.

Will definitely visit again!!! Tried their new matcha flavour and it was super rich and smooth. A little pricey if you get the whole cake 4800 yen, but it’s 1500 yen per person if you dine in and served with chai latte. There’s only 6 seats so best to reserve before you go. Super nice chef. Had a nice experience!

What a great experience. Everything about this place was wonderful. I walked in around 1pm on a Friday with no reservation. There was a seat available so I asked the guy working if it was ok. He said that there was another reservation at 2pm, so as long as I was ok with it, there would be no problem. Of course I said yes. I ordered the gateau chocolate, and it was fantastic. I didn’t realize that the set came with chai tea, but wow, the two go amazing together. There’s free refill on the chai as well. Cool spot, cozy atmosphere, delicious sweets, and great service. I will definitely be back. With a reservation.

I didn’t do my research thoroughly and was unaware that reservations were needed to dine-in. The employee was super friendly and allowed my husband and I to eat in but asked if we were ok with the standing first. We ordered one chocolate and one matcha cake. The cake was so chocolatey and texture was amazing (almost like a ganache cake). We wanted to order one whole cake to bring back to the states but it will not endure the whole 17hr plane ride as the maximum life is 6hrs with the ice pack. We will definitely come back here again the next time we visit Japan.

Fine snack/dessert dining at its best. Found in an unassuming building along a quiet street, this place fits in perfectly with the surrounding ambience. With the overwhelming number of options on menus found in other spots, The Lab simplifies things for the easily distracted and provides comfort in the form of a universally loved dish: chocolate. With a texture I can only describe as falling between a thick mousse and flourless cake, the single dine-in entree is enough to satisfy the sweet tooth of this passerby. The hospitality matches the vibe. Chill, welcoming, inviting, and satisfying. The chai pairs perfectly with the chocolate, and even if there were other options for a complimenting beverage, I wouldn’t bother trying them after having this. Come here for a short break or a nice to-go treat for yourself, a loved one, or friends. You can’t go wrong.
