Walking along the approach to the shrine, you will encounter two majestic Ginkgo trees that are over 1000 years old, known as the 'couple ginkgo trees.' As autumn arrives, they spread a golden carpet, creating a picturesque scene. Walking on the fallen leaves, you will hear the sound of rustling.
Descending the stairs from the shrine, you will see a vermilion torii gate. Passing through the gate, you will be greeted by the view of Kirishimawan Bay and the majestic Sakurajima. At dusk, the setting sun sinking behind the mountaintop of Sakurajima is called 'Diamond Sakurajima,' and it is considered one of the most scenic views. Enjoying this view while being caressed by the sea breeze will be an unforgettable experience.
Miyaguradono Shrine is located in Fukuyama-cho, Kirishima-shi, Kagoshima Prefecture, and it is conveniently accessible by car.
