The 'Sky Staircase Promenade' in the Iwaki area of Uwajima-cho, Ochi District, Ehime Prefecture. As the name suggests, it's a rare promenade with stairs seemingly floating in the air, extending along the cliff by the sea. The scenery changes as you walk, offering one stunning view after another.
This promenade partially collapsed during the heavy rain in western Japan in 2018 and was inaccessible for a while. However, thanks to the passionate efforts of local residents, the promenade has been reborn. Perhaps the current scenery shines even more brightly because it overcame a challenging journey.
