Ramen restaurant • 1-chōme-13-5 Yanagibashi, Taito City, Tokyo 111-0052, Japan
Below is a proposed structure for a sightseeing article introducing the long-established ramen shop, Yamakasa no Ryu, in Taito-ku, Tokyo.
After passing through the crowded streets of Asakusa, one can find a long-established ramen shop standing quietly in a narrow alley. Its name is 'Yamakasa no Ryu'. The expectations rise as the signboard displays the words 'Original Hakata Udon'.
Upon entering, one can overlook the kitchen through the counter. Orders are made in advance using a ticket machine. After a 5-minute wait, the aroma of the pork bone soup tantalizes the senses.
At first glance, the soup appears clear, but when tasted, it overflows with the richness of pork bone and the well-balanced flavor of soy sauce. There is no heaviness, only a pleasantly surprising light taste.
The noodles used are medium-thin straight noodles, perfectly harmonizing with the soup.
The chashu, typical of Kita-Fukushima Ramen, is a condensed exquisite dish filled with the umami of the meat. Additionally, there is also a menu for Chinese soba, which I would like to try on my next visit.
The table is equipped with pickled ginger and takana, which can be added according to preference. Rice is complimentary, so it is recommended to pour the remaining soup over it. 'Yamakasa no Ryu' offers a refined, popular taste, making it the perfect break spot in the gourmet town of Asakusa.
