What an amazing find! They have a fusion between a stake house with some Japanese elements. We sat at the bar and could see the chef cooking things fresh. Service is also amazing! Absolutely worth a visit.

We ordered a set menu and we loved it from soup to main course. The owners are nice and very accommodating. The salad was my favorite, beautiful in presentation and delicious dressing.

What a find. A copy place with very delicious food. Cool atmosphere with jazz music playing at a discrete volume. English-speaking staff available. English menu available.

If you're in search of a fantastic western dining experience in Nara, look no further than グリルTALO. As a self-proclaimed meat aficionado, I was delighted to discover this charming restaurant, which offers a mouthwatering selection of steaks and pork chops. Now, let's get to the star of the show: the food. グリルTALO's menu boasts an impressive array of juicy, tender steaks and succulent pork chops. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were evident in each dish that arrived at our table. The steaks were cooked to perfection, with a delightful char on the outside and a juicy, pink center that melted in my mouth. The pork chops were equally delicious, boasting a perfect balance of flavors and a satisfying tenderness.

One of my favorite restaurants I’ve tried while spending a month across Japan. I found this place on accident, and was drawn in by the clean and minimal facade. I arrived at around 5:30: it was very quiet and I was seated right away. There were only two staff, the chef and the waiter, and the interior was perfectly curated to feel calming and comfortable. All of the food we ordered was so well done—my favorite dish was the pumpkin soup appetizer (I’m not normally a squash soup person), and everything was perfectly cooked and a delight to eat. If you’re in Nara for a day, highly recommend eating here. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but that’s part of what makes it so great.
