It’s my first time visiting this store. Since it’s rainy, I ordered the butter chicken pie and meat pie for takeout. The thick pie crust and juicy filling are tasty, and I feeling full after eating 1 of them. I asked owner why they just open during weekends. He kindly told me they need full week to prepare the pies. These taste can be rarely found among Tokyo, I hope I can enjoy them on the balcony of the store next time.

What an incredible find. The best, most savory, flaky meat pies I’ve ever had anywhere. The deserts are also amazing. And what a great setting to enjoy your food. You order your food at the counter either for there or to go. If you get the food for there you take a seat on the roof with a beautiful 360’ view of the local neighborhood.

HAPPY HORIZONS INTERNATIONAL

Best eats in Kuhobutsu. I've been in the neighborhood working for going on 10 years and never knew it was there. Now kick myself for not finding it sooner. Pi was amazing, can only imagine what the size must have been 10 years ago. Mr. Saint is a bit of "awesomeness in a can" and I can't speak highly enough about the food or service! 1st place I actually thought to myself while I wish Google maps had a Ten Star ⭐ rating!

It brings back memories from when I backpacked Australia! Lovely shop on the 3rd floor. The owner is really welcoming and friendly! Vast selection of pies. I bought 2 types to go and a sausage roll to devour immediately. It was delicious, on par with the best I had in London. If you’re around, don’t miss this place!!

It's impossible not to give these pies and the couple who create them 5 stars. Every now and then the Tru Blue Aussie in me wants to be fed some good old fashioned soul grub and owner Kif Saint (not even joking - that's his name.) serves up pies and other foods that will knock your socks off. A bonus is that the pies are blessed since the establishment is on the roof of an actual church. They sure do taste heavenly! I've never been a fan of a pie "floater" (traditionally, a thickly mashed pea-based soup in a bowl with a pie nestled in the middle) but Kif stuffed all this into the pie itself and suggested I try his version saying I'd become a convert. And a few bites later, well whadd'ya know? I'm a changed man! The pies are all lovingly hand made and that's why you can only get them on weekends because the week is spent making them. They are a thick bottomed cup with a buttery puffed cap and crisp to the touch but don't fall apart in the hand. There was basically nothing on my fingers and the typical pie with sauce affair leads to a lot of mess and a burnt roof but not with these. The filling was decadent with a creamy and smooth blend of mash potato paired with a chunky but not overly thick gravy and brisket blend - perfectly weighted. And that filling is solid at around 230+ grams where a generic frozen, mass produced off-the-shelf Four N' Twenty is almost half that volume at about the same price but nowhere near the same level of flavor. I also sampled a sausage roll he had remaining and it was an incredible time warp for my 14 year old self at lunch time. Savory, crispy, juicy and perfectly seasoned with a perfect balance of thyme and spices. Never skip the Heinz with this legend. Kif is a super friendly bloke and had a great selection of cakes and beverages to go with the staple pies, so do take your time here. If you're after coffee, the machine he has there is state of the art. Also, the new terrace at the top gives you a nice view of the surrounding neighborhoods and is a good place to chill and let your stomach go to work. Prices aren't exactly "cheap" - expect to pay at least 2000 yen to 3000 yen here for yourself (I also took three pies home for the family :D) for a solid feed but it's more than worth it when washing it all down with one of Australia's finest beers: Coopers Pale Ale. You simply cannot get a better pie anywhere else in Tokyo (believe me... I have TRIED) and the ones I had today are among the best I have EVER eaten. An honest-to-God oasis for a real and delectable slice (pie) of old fashioned Australian food culture you can't pass up if you're in the area. Be aware though - weekends and PH's ONLY.
