#A leisurely climb surrounded by healing greenery, Yonaha-dake
Yonaha-dake in Kunigami Village, Okinawa is a recommended hiking course even for beginners. Despite its short length, you can enjoy a luxurious time surrounded by nature wrapped in greenery.
##Easy access to a leisurely climb
Enter the Okuma Forest Road from Route 58 to reach the trailhead. There is more traffic than expected, with light trucks and other vehicles, so there is not much of a sense of being in a remote area. Near the trailhead, there are 5 or 6 free parking spaces and a bio-toilet, making it convenient for hiking preparations.
##Leisurely enjoy the 360-degree green scenery
With not much of an elevation difference and an easy-to-walk path, you can easily aim for the mountaintop at a relaxed pace. The climbing takes about 80 minutes, and the descent takes about 60 minutes, allowing for a relatively leisurely pace for hiking. Although there is no panoramic view, you will be healed by the 360-degree green scenery.
##A lucky chance to encounter spring water
Changing the descent route may lead to unexpected discoveries. About 25 minutes' walk from the trailhead, you may encounter a spring water spot. If you replenish your water by drawing from it, your hiking experience will be even more fulfilling.
Yonaha-dake has good access and is a spot where beginners can easily enjoy nature. Why not visit and experience the charming and leisurely stroll?
