Tendering Temple, located at the southern tip of the Chita Peninsula, is known as the 42nd temple of the 'Chita New Shikoku 88 Places of Worship' modeled after the Shikoku Pilgrimage. This small temple has an endearing Jizo Bodhisattva who provides healing.
It is recommended to drive to the Tendering Temple. It is about 1.5 hours by car from Nagoya Station, and about 40 minutes by car from Chubu Centrair International Airport. The route from the nearest IC to the temple is easy to overlook, so be sure to use a car navigation system.
This Jizo Bodhisattva has a prayer for those who can complain freely here. It is said that by telling the worries accumulated in your heart to Jizo Bodhisattva, your mind will become lighter. With a cute appearance, it creates an atmosphere that is easy to talk to.
The grounds also feature a hydrangea attraction. Mid-June to early July is the best time to see them, and you will surely be captivated by the colorful flowers.
Near the temple, there is a farm stay facility that sells specialty products from Minamichita Town. You may find homemade dried persimmons, yams, jams, and other handmade products that are affordable and cute as souvenirs.
Encountering the Jizo Bodhisattva who is willing to listen to complaints is only possible at Tendering Temple. If you visit with loved ones, you may be able to express words of gratitude to each other. Why not take a leisurely walk, reminiscent of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, and spend a peaceful time?
