Tourist attraction • Mitsushimamachi Kurose, Tsushima, Nagasaki 817-0512, Japan
Located on the west side of Tsushima, Saw-toothed Rock is a natural artwork formed by the erosion of waves. When looking up from the sea, the continuous rocky mountains towering like the teeth of a saw will overwhelm you with their power. The rock surface is filled with numerous cracks, producing complex patterns through weathering.
To enjoy the beauty of Saw-toothed Rock to the fullest, we recommend viewing it from the sea by kayaking or boating. Viewing the rocky mountains from the waves allows you to fully appreciate their sculptural beauty. Additionally, the scene of waves hitting the rocks is also a highlight.
Around May, Chosen Kisugetake begins to bloom. It is said that this flower only blooms in rock crevices where deer cannot reach. In the harshness of nature, the elegant flowers show the power of life, leaving a profound impression on the heart.
To reach Saw-toothed Rock, park at Ichinokoto Parking Lot and walk from there. The path through the thickets is steep, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes. If you want to view it from the sea, join a tour with adequate safety measures.
