The navy curry is good. Cakes are delicious too.
Building is beautiful and so do the furnitures.

Visited the museum for the Gundam Manhole.
I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't even know this facility existed until then🙇💦
You can feel time passing slowly in the calm and quaint interior of the hotel.
Unfortunately, the cafeteria is currently open as a break room as we are currently recruiting businesses.
There is a sales corner for Maritime Self-Defense Force goods within the museum.
There is also a signboard with information about restaurants where you can eat Maritime Self-Defense Force curry in the area, and I think there are quite a few restaurants that are cooperating with us.

There was a souvenir shop inside. The place where there was originally a restaurant is now a rest area. New and clean.
For a limited time, there was a manhole cover on display with a Gundam picture on it.

I visited in August 2023. From the hill, you can see Mutsu Bay and the Maritime Self-Defense Force facilities in Ominato. It serves as both a tourist center and a community exchange facility, with exhibits similar to a tourist information center, including information on the history of Ominato and an introduction to the area. Souvenirs are also sold at the station kiosks, and you can buy things like Maritime Self-Defense Force curry. Apparently a restaurant used to be open, but it was closed when I visited.
Originally, I wanted to go to the Ocean Museum, but the opening days didn't match my itinerary, so I wasn't able to visit the Ocean Museum. We spent about 20 minutes looking at the exhibits, climbing the tower, and admiring the scenery. Parking is available on-site and free of charge. Admission to the facility is also free.

A hall that retains traces of the past.
The place is located on a hill overlooking the sea surrounded by a tranquil atmosphere. As it was a weekday when we visited, there were few visitors and we were able to take a leisurely look around. Andokan is built like an old-fashioned hall, and there is also a small shop.
Behind the building is a tower called Kaibokan.
The tower offers a wonderful view, and you can even see the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Ominato base below.
I visited by bus from Ominato Station. From the bus stop, you have to climb a steep slope to reach the entrance.
It took about an hour to tour all the facilities. I think this is a recommended facility for those who want to relax a little in this area.
