The frog rock is a unique rock in a corner of the port town park in Fukuyama City. The description in the Edo period's local records states that this area was once a sea, and the damage caused when a ship collided with the rock. Because the shape of the rock looks like a crouching frog, it came to be called 'Frog Rock'.
In the park, there are various flowers such as daffodils, irises, and roses blooming in each season, and well-maintained green walking paths. There are also benches scattered around, so you can leisurely enjoy nature. This is a historic place that once bustled with the coming and going of ships, and is a place where you can feel the presence of nature.
There is an area with playground equipment, where young children to elementary school students can play safely. It is surrounded by fences, so parents can let their children play with peace of mind. Surrounded by the serene rural landscape, you can spend a relaxed time.
While feeling the legendary presence in the dignified frog rock, taking a leisurely walk in the port town park is a great opportunity to experience Fukuyama's leisurely rural landscape. Please enjoy a peaceful time with your family in nature.
