I’m usually not the biggest fan of Hakata style ramen with thin noodles but this was one of the few places open and I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, it was actually pretty good. Much better than most Hakata style ramen I’ve had in the past. I never cared for thin hakata style noodles but the broth here was good and carried the whole ramen. I had the “negi” (green onion) ramen which comes with 2 chashu pork and some “kikurage” (wood ear mushroom) as well as a seasoned egg extra. I also bought a noodle refill known as “kaedama”. One gripe I had was that I ordered my first set of noodles to be cooked on the harder side, like al dente, and my 2nd set as normal. The 2nd set for some reason was harder than the first almost but not a huge deal, I prefer it that way and was just curious. Would I eat here again? Maybe?

Hakata style ramen that is simplistic in its construction but quite delicious. The broth is tasty, the noodles are firm, and the onions fresh and flavorful.

A very authentic Tonkotsu(rich pork broth) soup ramen place! Purchase tickets for ramen first before joining the queue.

If you are looking for a ramen without heavy fat, I'll recommend this cozy, clean ramen store in Futagotamagawa. The price, which is ~700yen, is reasonable, I think, these days.
