You can enjoy a heart-and-body-friendly lunch made with local ingredients, accompanied by your dog. morino cafe@ten is an old folk house cafe located in Iki City, Nagasaki Prefecture. An old clinic on the top of a hill has been renovated into a quaint yet bright store where you can feel the richness of nature. The meals were health-oriented, using ingredients from Iki and using as few additives as possible. In the future, there are plans to offer glamping in the adjacent area. You can bring your dog with you if you sit on the outdoor terrace. Not allowed inside the store. It was a very comfortable place to spend time under the shade of a large tree if the weather was good. However, it cannot be used during rainy or strong winds. This time, I happened to be passing by just before noon on a Saturday in late October. Depending on the day, the lunch menu may be sold out, so it's best to make a reservation as soon as you know when you'll be visiting. This time I ordered the weekend-only omakase lunch (1500 yen). It consisted of Isobe-yaki Koya tofu, herbal-grilled horse mackerel, Kinpira Napolitan, full moon omelet with meringue, potato potage, and rice. Since it was just before the full moon, the menu was particular about the cooking methods and menus, such as fried eggs with the image of the moon and autumn clouds, and horse mackerel dishes that took into consideration the season. All the flavors were gentle and very delicious. After the meal, I had a neem soda made with neem, which is said to be good for health, but this drink had a unique medicinal feel to it. I think there are quite a few different tastes when it comes to neem soda, so I think it's best to carefully consider it before ordering it. Not only was the lunch itself delicious, but the restaurant also used local ingredients and was considerate for the body and mind, making it a restaurant I would frequent if it were in my neighborhood. If you are thinking about having a healthy lunch in Iki with your dog, I think this cafe is a great option. Of course, it is also recommended for those who do not bring their dog with them.
