The place i call the authentic Omakase Japanese sushi style with genuine calm,nice counter seating. For me, I find it is difficult to book so I can my brother who can read & speak Japanese to help which is much easier. Booking is required and for me 15,000 Yen Omakase set is good enough & you can feel full after full course.

The food is good, but what the other reviews already critiqued is absolutely correct. The bathroom is quite disgusting, and there is a considerable amount of hidden charges on the final bill. The atmosphere is decent but did not enjoy the condescending attitudes of the chefs.

Brilliant Sushi, and good service! The Sushi chef chops his fish with a samurai sword size knife, and is a treat to watch. However, when explaining prices, the staff told us about net prices, and later added 6000 yen in tax, and another 10% and 7000 yen in service charge, adding another 13000 yen to an allready rather hefty bill. We did not check it when paying, but in the taxi on the way home we saw they charged us for the choice of menu priced above the one we agreed on, and for an extra serving of sake that we did not order. The last one is on us, as we could have checked before swiping our card, but still.....Not all that pleasant of an experience, after having eaten....

For the price $180 definitely lacks attention to detail: -All sushis made super rushed. Junior chef forgot two courses, which I had to ask for. No craftmanship in sushi. Just hastily made. All fish is pre-cut instead of being cut from a larger piece. -Bathroom is indeed horrifying. They also DO NOT have bath soap and when asked, the response was that SushiEn doesn’t own the bathroom (because it is shared in the building), which I found to be a ridiculous answer. Especially because some courses require eating with hands. Also makes me question whether or not the chefs and waiters wash their hands.. Would spend money elsewhere especially if you are expecting a refined Japnese omakase experience
