Hakone Moto Hakone stands at the summit of Mount Komagatake, surrounded by the peaks of Hakone. This sacred place, at an altitude of 1356 meters, is filled with tranquility and mystery. Visitors are greeted with solemn air and a 360-degree magnificent panorama.
A 7-minute ride on the Komagatake Ropeway will take you to the summit. From there, on a clear day, you can admire the majestic figure of Mount Fuji, and the sight of the sacred mountain floating in a sea of clouds is breathtaking. It is also known as a superb spot to overlook Lake Ashi.
The climate at the summit is harsh, and the perceived temperature can be below zero in winter. Adequate cold protection is essential. With warm clothing and accessories, you can enjoy the divine realm without being defeated by storms and snow.
Elegant Goshuin stamps are bestowed within the precincts. While there may be only pre-printed stamps during certain periods, it is advisable to confirm in detail if you wish to receive a carefully handwritten Goshuin with the date from a Shinto priest.
Hakone Moto Hakone is a place that conveys the strength and sacredness of nature. A short trip to the summit is sure to bring an extraordinary non-daily experience.
