I went there because it was the Shibazakura Festival that ends on the 17th, but it didn't seem like all the flowers were in bloom yet...the ones at the top were blooming beautifully. This is the first Shibazakura Festival in four years.
We paid a donation of 100 yen and proceeded by climbing up a steep slope.
It seemed that 5.6 people were in charge of managing the plants.
I'll chase it if it's beautiful when it's all in bloom.

Omori Park, located in the center of Omori-cho, Yokote City, is famous for its cherry blossoms and is even called the Arashiyama of Akita. Another highlight of Omori Park is the moss phlox!
It all started around 2003, when volunteers from the town planted moss phlox on the slopes of the ski resort (closed in March 2020). Since 2006, local residents have formed an executive committee and held the "Shibazakura Festa" as part of their efforts to create a vibrant and vibrant community.
The photo was taken near the center of the slope, with the hot spring accommodation ``Sakura-so'' visible through the moss phlox. It was a shame that the sky was cloudy with a light rain, but I still like the composition from this angle the most (*^^)v
Pink, white, and purple moss phlox is made into art with flowers and letters. In recent years, the gap has widened a bit, perhaps due to the continuous production, but it goes without saying that it is still beautiful and splendid (#^.^#)
The photo above is an overall view of the moss phlox. You can see the word ``Oomori'' at the top, and originally that area was also decorated with moss phlox, but I was late in taking photos and missed the chance...(;・∀・)
Moreover, there are places where the moss phlox is in shadow due to the unevenness of the slope, so I can't see the overall composition (-_-;) I wonder if I have no choice but to buy a drone? (;^_^A
There is also a ``ground golf course'' on the flat area under the moss phlox, which seems to be enjoyed mainly by the elderly.
In addition to the hot spring accommodation facility "Sakura-so" introduced earlier, there is also an all-weather tennis court with night lighting, a general gymnasium, a track and field field/soccer field, a baseball field, a golf course, and a sports zone. It has many functions as.
Work up a sweat by playing sports, sweat in the hot springs at Sakura-so, enjoy BBQ, and stay in a cottage! How do you spend your time like that? (*^^*)

I like the natural feel. It's like going on a light trek... When you climb to the top, you'll see a shrine, with skunk cabbage in the plaza and moss phlox blooming all over the slope behind the shrine. Because it is on a hill, you can see far into the distance and it is a pleasant place.
