The highlight of Joko-ji is undoubtedly its rhododendron garden. From early to mid-May, various colors and types of rhododendrons bloom, painting the hillsides in pinks, whites, and reds, creating a breathtaking sight.

A walking path for viewing rhododendrons is located beyond the main temple building to the right. The path, though a bit steep, is about a 10–15-minute walk. Being surrounded by nature, the slow appreciation of flowers offers an escape from urban bustle.
