I went skiing on a family vacation. I ate kaiseki cuisine in the dining room. I liked the Tone beef sukiyaki. It was soft and melted in my mouth I also liked mushroom dishes because so many kinds.

Traditional Japanese Ryokan. Equipped with Japanese traditional furniture and need to clear out for futons. There is no bathroom in the room only restroom in room. Public bath is ok but a bit old. Private bath well furnished and nice. Anyway if you face some Thai tourists which don't know the public bath manners please apologize.... As they may jeopardize your bath moments...

Nice place. Quite far from Tokyo. Please do use shinkansen, don't waste your time using the local commuter train. January February probably the best time to be here, the 3rd week of December just gives you thin snow or none. We have to go to another ski resort just to play ski. The food was very Japan Authentic. You will get 40 minutes of private onsen each day. Love the onsen. Very nice service and the people who work there superb friendly.

The private rotenburo next to the hotel were nice, but the public baths smelled of cleaning chemicals. Also, the rotenburo with the hotel room was painfully hot! The food was mediocre compared to the high price we paid.
