I’m so grateful to the hosts at reception. One of the best people I’ve ever encountered in my life. I will definitely go back when I’m back in Miyako one day.

I used it for business. I have stayed in a lot of business hotels, but this hotel had a nostalgic feeling that made me forget the hustle and bustle of the city, and it was great. Although I checked in early, I was able to relax while working on the Japanese-style chair.
It reminded me of a family trip when I was a child where we stayed in a guesthouse, although it wasn't luxurious. I would like to use it again.

Used for business trips. I usually stay in front of the station in Miyako, but this time I stayed here. It's a little far from the station, so it might be a bit difficult to walk with lots of luggage. It's easy to park your car because the parking lot is right next to it, but it's a gravel lot. The front desk is simple, but in a good way, it has a Showa-era atmosphere that gives it a calming feel. The room is a Japanese-style room with a large space at the back, so you can unfold your suitcase there. There is plenty of room even if you have a lot of luggage. It's spacious enough for about 3 people to sleep. The unit bath is small and I think it's a little difficult to soak in it. As an alternative, there is a large public bath on the top floor. Since it is not a hot spring, there is only one large bathtub, but you can take a bath while looking out at the bay, and there are hot and cold water faucets, so you can adjust the temperature. When I took a bath by myself, it was a little warm so I added more hot water, but I think you need to be more considerate when there are other users. There are no restaurants around, but there is a Lawson right next door. If you're planning to go out for drinks, it's probably best to stay at a hotel near the station, but if you're just relaxing in your room, there's a convenience store next door. The negative points are that there is a bit of noise from the next room and the wifi tends to be slow depending on the time of day, but overall it's a good hotel. I slept soundly on the fluffy futon in the Japanese room.

Close to the pleasure boat pier, Lawson next door, and post office right next door. I stayed overnight without meals, but I was able to relax without any inconvenience.
The futon was comfortable and I slept well. The public bath on the top floor has a glass wall facing the sea, so it might be a good idea to enter in the evening.
You can take a bath until 9 pm, but it would be better if you could at least take a bath until 10 pm.
There are not many buses from the station or buses to the sightseeing boat, but there is a bus stop nearby, so it's not bad to get there as long as you check the time.

I did see the sea from the observation bath, but I couldn't see it when I was sitting, so it was more like a port than a sea (lol).I chose a room on the land side because it was cheaper, but if you don't know when you'll be next, you'll want to face the sea. I regret that I could have stayed in a room like this. It's located between Miyako Station and Jodogahama, so if you're going by train, you'll have to take a bus or taxi. The bus stop is nearby, so it's convenient if you have time.
