This review is for Hiruma cafe inside Yosabei. This might be the most delicious curry I've had all year. The vegetables and sweet potato chips were also super delicious. The host is very friendly and has traveled quite a bit, so you can actually make meaningful small talk if you want to. Menu prices are super reasonable and the atmosphere is quite comfortable. I recommend for anyone wanting to try a taste of Sado's delicious fresh farm food without breaking your budget. It's probably best to call ahead or make a reservation because there aren't many tables.

We have stayed one night in the bungalow of Yosabei. The house is beautiful and large. It felt like we are just inside the forest. The ambiance was really nice. But I was not satisfied with their services, if I compare with price. For example, they asked us many times to be careful about the use of AC, although it was very hot. Also they did not have knife and kitchen board in the kitchen, and we had to ask for it. Other than these inconveniences, it was an enjoyable place.

Quite simply, Yosabei is a beautiful experience. Sado Island is lovely and full of culture; my wife went to study the Noh stages and I tagged along. We stayed at Yosabei for two nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The house and the history of it are incredible, but the family who live there and own it are even more incredible. We were treated kindly, given space to live and also cooked for! The breakfast Shuko cooked for us was the best meal we had in Japan. All in all, Yosabei deserves the highest possible praise. Thanks again!!

Actually, I haven't used it yet. But that happened just two days ago. I suddenly had to go to Sado and was looking for a place to stay. Coupled with my late phone reservation and the fact that I was staying alone, I had a hard time finding a place to stay. I happened to be introduced to this inn by a friend who works for Sado Kisen, and I called to make a reservation. Although I wasn't able to stay the night, I was deeply moved by the heartfelt response I received over the phone.

Lunch is curry only. There are two types of curry: chicken and beef tendon. Even the accompanying salad and salad dressing are delicious. The curry was of course very delicious. I stopped by with my family and the staff recommended some delicious restaurants. It was very helpful as it was right after arriving by boat.
