Not a good introduction to Yamanashi wines. Simply terrible customer service. They charge you ¥2200 and half of the bottles are empty and the staff ignores you when you ask questions or ask them to replace the bottle so that you can try that particular wine. Noted elsewhere, but there’s also no place to spit out so if you encounter a wine from the few bottles that are actually there and you determine that you don’t like it, you have to swallow anyway 😆

The area was beautiful and peaceful. My friends and I enjoyed tasting the different wines. You're even able to purchase wines that were your favorites. Pricing is not bad either and their are restaurants on site. You can go in and out the wine cellar tasting area also to take breaks and grab a bite in-between tastings or just roam the grounds and take in the scenery.

4 stars. The ability to taste 150+ wines for as little as ¥1.5k is amazing. Good number of nearby restaurants and other attractions make this a great way to try different local producer's style and wines when you are hardpressed for time

Wine paradise of Japan. Do not spend much time on tasting at the starting move steadily and you will be rewarded with better options. Look at the price tags at the shelves with unopened bottles alone the path, that will give you good hints which one to try. Consider snicking in some snacks, that will make tasting experience much better.
