Beautiful view, stunning facilities, friendly staff. We loved the onsen in room and on the top floor, and had an immaculate dinner on site. Breakfast buffet was top notch and the cocktail hour was a nice touch.

Pretty spacious room, good private bath. The staffs at restaurants need more training for a 5 star hotel. They don’t seem to know what they are doing. Not even a veggie dish on the dinner menu, mediocre salad after long convo with staff with limited English. Missed out on my order, I couldn’t be bothered so I left. A lot of staff standing around behind me discussing about something I don’t understand, which is a no no for a 5 star hotel. It made me a bit uncomfortable so I left early still starved.

Stopped on the off chance it would have an approachable glass of wine. Place was very zen and service was top notch. The wine by the glass was excellent (NZ Sav / AU Shiraz). We want to come back as it was very appealing.

Checkin procedure was slow and clumsy. We arrived at 1 and got all our passports copied. Returned after 3 and we needed to wait for everyone to checkin. We had 4 people and booked two rooms over US$700 each and only got two welcome drink. Restaurants are fully booked.

Best hotel in Atami. Many may not know this hotel exists if not for thorough research. This property lives up to 5 star rating with breathtaking views and top notch amenities (including onsen). Highly recommend for a 1-2 day trip from Tokyo. Great buffet breakfast as well which is included.
