One of the best, most enjoyable meals I've had in Japan. I am so glad I went. The food was exceptional, there is no menu so they just offer you things and they were all delicious. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the lovely lady serving me spoke very good English. I think even if you don't speak Japanese you will still be able to manage. If in doubt, just ask for their recommendations. This is what Japan is all about, great food, great hospitality and great memories. I will definitely return next trip!

Wholesome experience. The chef presented us with a range of fresh fish, sushi and tempura. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to be surprised with fresh seafood and kindness. Also consider visiting “Taniharakashiten” for pastries (open on Saturdays)

Amazing sushi and service. We got chef's choice nigiri (8 pieces), and every one was delicious, including the octopus, which I normally don't like. We also had the fried blowfish. Staff was ridiculously friendly; bending over backwards to be accommodating. I think they enjoyed having foreigners as customers. Would absolutely recommend.

Incredible sushi at a great price. As other reviewers have mentioned, they are extremely friendly and accommodating, even if you don’t speak Japanese. I highly recommend this spot if you’re in Onomichi.
