A park that combines history and nature in the lush green land of Kyoto

Quiet atmosphere retaining the remnants of Enabe Castle

Enabe Park, located in Minami-tanabe City, Kyoto Prefecture, is situated on the land where the Enabe Castle once stood. Although it was abandoned during the Meiji era, it still retains the appearance of the high school gate at that time. It is a park with an intellectual atmosphere that utilizes historical sites as places of learning.

A variety of facilities for the enjoyment of the whole family

In addition to facilities such as the International Exchange Hall and the Cultural Museum, it is equipped with various facilities including a swimming pool and sports field. It can be said to be a park packed with charms that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. However, the playground equipment for children may be a bit lacking.

A space embraced by rich nature

The pride of Enabe Park is its rich natural environment surrounded by dense green trees. As you walk along the walking paths and enjoy the scent of the trees, you will be able to relax and spend a leisurely time away from your daily life. There is also a path of monuments on the mountaintop, a place where you can feel the history.

Summary

Enabe Park is a recommended spot in Kyoto packed with the charm of history, nature, and relaxation. It is a diverse park that cleverly combines the atmosphere of old Japan with modern convenience. Why not visit and see for yourself?

Sonobe Castle is here! Tourists are 100% wrong. When I looked into it, I found that it had been abandoned in 1872. Hehe (lol) I headed towards the castle and saw that it was the International House, next door was the Cultural Museum, and it was a gorgeous building with a pool under the bridge. There is a large parking lot, and the park with great views is great for a walk. The facilities such as the multi-purpose ground and baseball field are excellent, but as a general public park, there are stones in the shape of animals and a pavilion, but there is not much play equipment for children 😢 And what about Sonobe Castle Ruins? It is now the school gate of Sonobe High School! It's a wonderful historical site ✌️ Today is Sunday so I can't see inside, so I'm predicting that the students won't appreciate it 😢 Kyoto has some universities whose buildings have been designated as important cultural properties, such as Doshisha and Ryukoku. While it's being used as a school building, I don't know if it's worth it. That's right, when you get old , It's the first time I've realized how grateful I am to have studied in a place like this. This is just my personal opinion✌️

As you walk along the walking path towards the top of the mountain (Mt. Komugi) on the map, There are an army of monuments and what looks like a flowerbed of wild plants, It is closed with iron bars. I wish there was something like a plaza or observation deck at the top.
