This place is not perfect but it doesn't deserve the very poor reviews. Food was great at a good price. Staff's friendly and helpful. The restaurant could be a little more uplifting, the toilet wasn't particularly clean either. Still, not a bad place at all.

A nice little ramen shop just down the street from the Yasaka-jinja Shrine. Had the Special Gion Ramen, which was welcome on a cold rainy Kyoto day. It's a decent bowl of ramen, but nothing outstanding. The chashu was regrettably dry was the primary hindrance.

We came to eat a good Ramen ! And we're very disappointed.. I ordered "special Gion ramen" and it was so BORING, average and I barely finished it. The amount also wasn't good, the meat felt like sandwich meat. The stock was OK . I paid 1,350 yen for that poor dish . The fried rice also was OK . My brother ordered a different ramen in order to try 2 different things, but it was the same soup after all..

While this restaurant's late hours were convenient, the ramen lacked the flavor and the meat was dry. The server was great, but the ramen and fried rice were just ok. As a visitor looking for an authentic meal, I cannot recommend stopping here. There has to be better late-night options

We were a little worried because of the poor reviews, but the restaurant was relatively empty and we had a group of 6, so we went in. We had super low expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised with the food. The food was decent and came super quick despite only having 1 chef and 2 servers. This place is a solid 4 for the pricing, speed of service and food. Don’t expect a gourmet meal here, it’s really a quick fix for a hungry belly.
