Yoyogi, a Little Gem in the Neighborhood - A Hidden Playground for Families

Located in the downtown Shibuya area of Tokyo, Yoyogi Park is a hidden gem beloved by local residents for many years. Despite the limited play equipment, it is packed with charm that sparks children's rich imagination.

A Blend of Nostalgia and Novelty in the Playground

Passing through the entrance, you will find a small sand pit, swings, and a slide. In addition to the old-fashioned play equipment, the latest compound play equipment is also installed. Children can enjoy play across the ages.

Lingering Memories in the Heart

Yoyogi Park retains the features of the former Rocket Park. It used to have large play equipment that stirred children's dreams. Even though those facilities have disappeared, the lingering memories still gently waft in the air.

Lush Little Oasis

The park provides a suitable amount of shade to mitigate the summer sun. At the same time, it ensures sufficient sunlight, allowing visitors to spend a comfortable time throughout the year. Despite its small size, this green oasis creates a space of healing.

Yoyogi Park, despite its small space, is a valuable local presence that has been watching over the growth of children for a long time. The play equipment may be small, but it holds the big dreams and beautiful memories of children, like a little gem of a park.

Used to play here as a kid in 1989-90 and we called it Rocket Park as the high bars thing was a rocket back then. Swings look the same!! Love it. Many happy memories!!

I used to play here a lot when I was a kid. At that time (the end of the Showa era), it was called Rocket Park and had a rocket-shaped slide, and the children who gathered there would play various games such as Iroki, Takaoni, and Freezeoni.
