The hotel was really well designed, including our surprisingly spacious room and the compact but efficient lobby. Everything was quite modern with a little hint of the cool simplicity of Japan. We loved the bathroom, as well as the high quality bathing and skin care products the hotel provides. We especially enjoyed hanging out on our room's balcony, which even had a peekaboo view of the SkyTree. The hotel was right in the centre of Asakusa, close to dining, drinking, shopping, and of course the iconic temple. But it was just far enough away from the action that we didn't hear a peep from the street at night. The hotel has several bikes we could take out for free. We ended up getting around the city via bike every day and loved it. The staff were friendly, and happy to help answer any questions we had. And last but not least, the hotel pyjamas - made by hand via a traditional weaving method that felt like absolute heaven on our skin. I will never forget those pyjamas! The only problem we had was with our shower faucet. It was leaking and made quite a bit of a mess whenever anyone took a shower. That said, the drainage in the bathroom was top notch, so it never really bothered us.

Contemplating about writing this review...wanted to keep this hush hush for our next trip :) We took a cab from Ueno station and it's about ¥1800. Make sure you have the hotel address in Japanese. It's not easy to find (initially). We arrived before checkin time and hotel staff was very helpful with letting us leave the bag. We came back a little before check in and they had already moved our bags into our room. The hotel is on the small side but our room (Standard Twin) was spacious, clean and relaxing. The beds were so comfortable. All amenities well thought out. Got new slippers and water and drip coffee pack everyday. The best part...the staff.. all of them extremely professional, welcoming and helpful. So happy we found this hotel online. Truly a gem.

We liked the privacy. Was close to metro stations and other services. Clean and spacious room with a good view of the Senso-Ji. Bed was really good and the adjustable lights were a nice surprise. There was umbrellas to borrow in the lobby.

Stayed in Superior king double room with balcony. Brilliant stylish room, large, bright, great design, very comfortable bed, large balcony with great view, fridge with selection of free drinks.and big bathroom with bath and in-bath shower. Super friendly and efficient reception. Nice vibe in hotel and being small, easy to meat and chat to other guests. Cafe attached to reception area. Quite a few subway stations within between 8 and 15mins away. Negatives? A few small ones. Area not that upmarket especially in immediate vicinity, but lots of places to eat. No problem if you are used to less upmarket area of a city. Room could do with blackout blinds, hotel just starting to show its age, and coffee in cafe just average Worth noting that sim rooms may be considerably smaller than the Superior king room we stayed in, so as always worth checking what you are actually booking. Also the exterior of the hotel nothing special, like lots of smaller places in Japan However, I don’t think you will find a more spacious stylish room for the price anywhere in Tokyo, or any other major city, especially if the location is convenient for you.

Style. Modern quirky artsy unique theater with a hotel / restaurant Setting. Buzzy Asakusa, just around corner from the extremely popular Senso-ji Temple Explore. Asakusa and Tokyo Rooms. Was in 704. Deluxe double room with Terrace. 226 square feet room felt claustrophobic when I arrived at 2 in the morning with blinds drawn. Was much happier in the morning once I opened all the blinds and left the terrace door opened. Terrace is quite spacious and the room/terrace has a view of the Sensoji temple pagoda, everyone’s perennial favorite @ the hotel. Small hotel with 30 rooms Food & drinks. Lots of options in the area. Room provided two bags of coffee but surprisingly no tea Prices. Tokyo is getting expensive, despite the cheap yen, this hotel cost US$177 (but was a bargain compared to other options) Rating. 4/5 Perfect hotel for my 8 hours stay.
