The Four Seasons of Kyoto Higashiyama

The springtime strolls adorned with cherry blossoms

Higashiyama's cherry blossom-lined paths exude a serene atmosphere despite being in the city center. Walking along the petal-strewn path, you can feel the arrival of spring. As time passes leisurely, you can find transience and beauty in the petals swaying in the wind.

Enveloped in summer's verdant hues

Summer's greenery seems to embrace the streets of Higashiyama gently. As the sunlight filters through the leaves, it creates soft shadows on the alleys. The contrast between the deep green gardens and the white walls creates a tranquil atmosphere. Spending a blissful moment in the fragrance-filled tea rooms is the essence of Kyoto.

A renowned spot adorned in autumnal colors

The autumn foliage in Higashiyama is one of the representative scenic spots in Kyoto. The vibrant colors captivate the hearts of those who see them. It's a delightful experience to stroll through the ancient capital while enjoying traditional sweets. One cannot help but be captivated by the once-in-a-lifetime scenery.

Reflecting on the snow-covered temples and shrines in winter

The winter in Higashiyama, covered in a silver world, is like a scene from a painting. Snow-covered roofs and glistening stone-paved paths exude a quiet, timeless ambiance. On snowy days, visiting the tranquil temple grounds and contemplating one's thoughts might be a good choice.

Higashiyama, despite being in the heart of Kyoto, is a rare place where you can enjoy the different faces of each season. You will surely have the opportunity to experience the traditional culture of the city in a serene and elegant atmosphere. Why not visit Higashiyama and savor the beauty of Kyoto.

I used it before the first day of my trip. I think it's one of the better ones considering the price. I called because I was going to be late for check-in time, but I received kind words from them, asking me to be careful when coming. The room is large enough to accommodate a family of 3 to 4 people. Equipped with bathroom, toilet, TV, small refrigerator, and air conditioning. Being on the second floor is comfortable, although you do have to worry about noise from the floors below. Meals include several types of light bread in the morning, coffee, juice, and tea. A pot and a microwave are located on the front floor, and you can come and go as you please at night. If you wish to check out early in the morning, advance notice is required. However, perhaps because of the area, there are a lot of trucks running on the national highway, so I was concerned about the noise. I also noticed the rustling sound of the futon and duvet cover. Great for a short stay. If I have a chance, I would like to use Hatagoya, another store.

I used it for the first time. It's very cheap and comes with breakfast bread, so I have no complaints. It seems like it's about 1.2% cheaper if you book directly from the website, so next time I'd like to book there and stay there. There are no toothbrushes, pajamas, or slippers, so you will need to bring your own.

I've been running a Hatagoya for 20 years, so this is my impressions compared to the past. The staff at Hatagoya are courteous and everything is clean, and every time I go there, the rooms are well-cleaned, the queen-sized beds, and the large bathrooms are clean and mold-free.I like these things and have used them in various places. However, this Hikone branch (this can be said about all inn restaurants these days?) was a bit terrible. There are coffee drip stains on the lobby door, breakfast bread crumbs on the tray, brown drip stains on the door of the toilet in the room, and pee stains on the toilet seat... It's horrible, I don't want to touch anything. Immediately after check-in, I had to clean the room with a disinfectant cleaner. Also, is this done in one surgery? I stayed here a few months ago, but I only saw one staff member, and in each case, he was cleaning the room by himself in the morning, so when I was out of bread for breakfast, I called him on the intercom. I received a response. The staff's response is at an average level. Over the past few years, I've started to notice things about other stores, where the staff's attitude is very aggressive and it feels like they're paying close attention to you (previously, the customer service at all stores was excellent), but the rooms are dirty. (Outside as well) I get the impression that the quality of Hatagoya has declined due to the increase in the number of stores. The accommodation prices have gone up considerably compared to before, and it's disappointing that the quality is below the price. I hope the management realizes that the education is inadequate and makes improvements as soon as possible. If things continue like this, I won't want to use this place again!

This is my first time using it. I stayed with my children, ages 0 and 5, and it was great because the beds were spacious and we were able to easily carry our luggage from the parking lot to the guest room. Breakfast consisted of commercially available bread, freshly baked croissants, coffee, and orange juice. The croissant was delicious so I ordered another. There was a convenience store about 2 minutes away by car, and there were also shops along the same road that you could go to with children, so the location was good and it was quiet and relaxing at night. There were two desks in the room, one where I kept my luggage, and the other where my older child could draw. I would like to use it again if I have a chance to go nearby.
