In Fukue Island, the church has a lot of PR, so I thought the shrines wouldn't be that great. That's outrageous. There was a wonderful shrine. Although the journey was certainly difficult, it was even more impressive. I ended up buying a charm as well.
I have quoted it below.
After losing the battle of Genpei Dan-no-ura, the Heike lords and their followers fled to this area of Goto and committed suicide at the foot of Mt. Shichidake.
The local people enshrined the spirits of the lord and seven of his followers, calling it Shichitake Gongen, built a shrine, buried the eleven-faced Kannon, and chanted Takemikazuchi-no-mikoto and Tsunetsu-suzusu.
It is also said that he was worshiped as a guardian deity and prayed for the fortune of the family, and that it continued to be a miraculous force for generations to come.
The two deities Takemikazuchi-no-Mikoto and Tsunetsu-susu-no-mikoto are both warrior gods that appear in the Kiki mythology.
In the background is Mt. Shichitake, and it is said that the seven stone monuments dedicated to seven people are the origin of this shrine.

Long ago, before it was destroyed by fire, it was located halfway up Mt. Shichidake, Goto's famous mountain, and visitors had to be prepared to climb the mountain. It is thought that the mountain itself has been worshiped as a god. Although the shrine is now located at the foot of the mountain, it is still not easy to access. The priest is not usually present, but only comes during New Year's Day and events to ward off evil spirits. However, the main hall of the shrine is always open to the public, so you can take as many lucky charms and amulets as you like, but you can also win a drumstick. I had exorcisms performed here both when I was 42 years old and had a great misfortune, and when I was 60 years old. It is a shrine that attracts the faith of the islanders. Don't forget that about 10% of the islanders are Christians, and most of the islanders are Shintoists and Buddhists.

There is a shrine connected to the Genji clan along the mountain in the Arakawa area. It's located in a very quiet place, so I want you to feel the eternal history. Behind the shrine is the trailhead for Mt. Shichidake and Mt. Chichigatake.

A shrine dedicated to the Heike nobility and seven of their followers who were defeated in the Battle of Genpei Dannoura.
From the national highway, enter Goto Bus's ``Yanoguchibashi'' bus stop and continue straight ahead along the road in front of the nursing home ``Tachibana-so'' to get there, but the road is narrow and there are few places where you can pass each other, so don't be confident in driving. I think people who don't have it should stop using it. When I looked it up, it says it's a 20 minute walk from the bus stop, but if you're not used to it, there are some places where the vegetation is thick and thick, so you might feel uneasy walking.
However, when we arrived, we found that the shrine was well-maintained, bright, and had a beautiful view, giving it an indescribably majestic feel. It's worth going! I think. If you draw an Omikuji (50 yen) in the westernmost part of Japan and get lucky, you'll feel like you're here!
There's usually no one around, so you can take your time and visit the building as you like. The parking lot is just past the first torii gate.
According to my mother, it used to be forbidden to women.

It was so well-maintained and clean that it was hard to believe that it was an uninhabited shrine, and it felt refreshing to visit. I thought it was revered by the locals. The road from the nursing home is narrow so please be careful when driving.
