A breath of traditional Edomae sushi in an innovative flame-seared and aged sushi experience

Located in Tamagawa, Tokyo, "Sushi TORA" is pioneering a new frontier of traditional and innovative Edomae sushi. The concept of "flame-searing" and "aging" is reflected in the restaurant name, and the vivid flame-seared sushi and deeply flavorful aged ingredients are the proud specialties.

Guided by the aroma of red vinegar

As you step into the restaurant, the fragrant aroma of red vinegar immediately greets you. The red vinegar used in the sushi rice enhances the flavor of the rice, creating an exquisite harmony with the sushi ingredients.

Enchanted by the artisanal skill of flame-seared sushi

The meticulous flame-searing brings out the original flavors and richness of the ingredients. The tantalizing aroma of the seared salmon, the texture of the engawa (fluke fin), each bite will enchant you with the artisanal skill of Edomae sushi.

Indulge in the depth of aged flavors

Aging often brings to mind toughness and overripeness, but here, the flavors are perfected through moderate aging tailored to each ingredient. The concentrated richness of the tuna, the depth of flavor and sweetness of the scallops, offer a whole new level of deliciousness.

Family-friendly dining

While there are counter seats, the restaurant features spacious table seats that are perfect for families. Orders can be easily placed via tablets, making it convenient for family use.

The "Sushi TORA" is a sushi restaurant loved by people of all generations. It is a place where you can experience the fusion of traditional techniques and innovative ideas, truly at the forefront of cuisine.

Dinner at Aburi Tora was very nice! The sushi is served with good quality compared to the price. I like how tuna was so fresh and juicy! The aburi prawn is also full of mayo and very delicious. Least favorite would be the salt and lemon as I found it’s a bit too salty for me

Absolutely amazing sushi! I was eating them so fast and couldn't snap a better photo of all the different ones I tried. It's more expensive than your usual kaitenzushi place and it makes sense--the flavors, fish quality, and sushi size make this place feel like a more high-end restaurant, so I found the prices completely justified. This is the kind of place I'd undoubtedly recommend to friends & family traveling to Japan.

Fish quality is good but rice to fish ratio is off (too much rice). Rice itself is delicious, they use red vinegar for their rice. Though I wish the rice was more moist.

It's a more quality kaiten sushi place 3.5+ The variety is a bit less and there's more ice to sushi ratio so not sure it'll satisfy sushi aficionados but for a nicer kaiten sushi experience w guests, I'd come here. I personally liked flame torches sushi so the grilled and aburi sushi are nice (again a bit too much rice tho). Pre dinner snack / light dinner for two cost nearly ¥4,000

Definitely recommend this if you come to 二子玉川 and would like to experience conveyor belt sushi, I believe it way better than kura.
