A Superb Resort Stay Embraced by the Grandeur of Nature and Ocean Views

The Gem of Atami - Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Nanki Kushimoto

An expanse of azure sea and the scenic beauty of Oshima unfold before your eyes. Nanki Kushimoto Resort, part of the Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Group known for Atami, is a hidden gem surrounded by stunning views and hot springs. All rooms face the sea, allowing you to feel the pleasant sea breeze at any time.

Luxurious and Gorgeous Buffet Delights

The most popular feature of this resort is the buffet-style dining. In addition to the fresh seafood of Wakayama, there is a rich variety of menu items such as teppanyaki steak, tempura, fried chicken, yakisoba, and more. The tuna sashimi, in particular, is a masterpiece. The experience of handmade udon and pancakes in the room is also unforgettable.

Soothing Hot Spring Baths and Scenic Views

The indoor baths and open-air hot springs, simple as they are, boast high-quality hot spring water. The stone-built indoor baths exude a refined atmosphere. Most of all, the view from the open-air hot spring is breathtaking. This location provides a superb hot spring bathing experience with a sweeping view of the ocean.

Creating a Superb Journey with Service that Meets Expectations

The attentiveness of the staff and their thoughtful service leave a positive impression. However, there are areas for improvement in operations, such as communication issues. Nevertheless, the resort should be able to fully satisfy your desires for a resort trip. It is a wonderful resort hotel where you can enjoy the grandeur of nature and the superb cuisine of Nanki.

Hotel is quite old , rooms is acceptable tatami but stinks mold . Staff are ok mostly locals and some Asian students part timers . Don’t expect much about the food , buffet type and all taste horrible even for Japanese palate . The photographer for their web site did good job because nothing seems what we saw on the site. Weekends are mostly family travelers and the hotel is very chaotic and laud with crying kids .

Great experience to relax at the southernmost of Honshu at this resort. The room is quite old as we chose Japanese rooms, but very clean. It's sea view room! 最高! We can enjoy seeing sunrise just from our rooms. Onsen is not very big but not crowded. Enjoyed the onsen 3 times in two days. 😉 It's near to the 橋杭岩, tourist attraction point. We also went there three times in two days (with raining day and beautiful clear sunny day. What a lovely gift from God!) and it's very near to the resort. Buffet dinner and breakfast. Because it's buffet, the foods are not the best but acceptable. Satisfied with the price paid. The resort employees are very nice and giving good services.

200usd one nigth per person, the food is really low quality, the only good product was the row fish, please instead of trying to do many things and do all wrong, try to do one thing and get it right. Rooms are old, they need renovation. Futos where ok. Over price for this kind of quality.

I visited with my friend for onsen and the buffet. The staff is quite unfriendly and unhelpful, we try to ask whether we can move our dinner time to 30min later, but they refused and say we can come late but the time limit won't be changed. Come the dinner, theres not many choices and the quality is average. The dining staff is unresponsive and ignore us often, they can't answer question even when I asked in Japanese. For the Ooedo onsen monogatari quality, this location is disappointing.

Delicious! Lots of variety of seafood! Loved the DIY ramen station. (Jan 2019)
