The following is a proposed structure for an article introducing the Yakami Oji site.
Walking along the tranquil tree-lined approach, there lies the traces of an ancient imperial dynasty exuding an ancient atmosphere. Surrounded by green giant trees, one can visit the site where the prince once resided.
In spring, the cherry blossoms in the precincts bloom magnificently. There is also a monument to the cherry blossoms in Yakami praised by the great monk Saigyo of the Genpei period, allowing one to indulge in history and romance.
The Yakami Oji site, located at the starting point of the Kumano Kodo, used to be the departure and arrival point for pilgrims from the capital to Kumano. Here, one can feel the deep connection between the history of the imperial dynasty and the sacred land of Kumano.
Easily accessible by car, with well-equipped parking facilities. Other imperial relics such as the Misu Oji and Inaba-ne Oji are also nearby, allowing visitors to experience a pilgrimage feeling.
