There were many passengers on the plane from Naha to Kita Daito Island. Since you go to Minami Daito Island via Kita Daito Island, there seem to be many residents of both Daito Islands. Assemble your bike at the airport and set off. There are drink vending machines at the airport, but there doesn't seem to be anything else for sale. If you need snacks, you'll probably need to bring them from Naha or go downtown. I tried to get a tourist map of the island, but it wasn't available at the airport.

I fulfilled my long-awaited first visit to the island in Golden Week 2022. It is a small airport with a very remote island feel. You can look down on the ramp from the observation deck. Ryukyu Air Commuter operates a triangular flight between Naha Airport, Minami Daito Airport, and Kita Daito Airport. Flights departing from Naha Airport, passing through Minami-Daito Airport, and then going to Kita-Daito Airport (depending on the day of the week) can go to Kita-Daito with the fare from Naha to Minami-Daito, even if there are two sectors. (If you use JAL's shareholder coupon, you will need two coupons because there are two sectors.) Similarly, if you go from Kita-Daito to Naha via Minami-Daito, you can get to Naha Airport with the fare Minami-Daito → Naha. However, both are limited to connecting flights. (It is not possible to divide the two sectors into a morning flight and an afternoon flight.) By the way, Kita Daito Airport ⇔ Minami Daito Airport is the shortest flight route in Japan. Added on March 24, 2024 It has been announced that flights between Kita Daito Airport and Minami Daito Airport will be suspended from July 31, 2024. Please be careful if you are considering traveling by plane.

Located on a remote island 360 kilometers east of the main island of Okinawa, this is a small airport that can only accommodate propeller planes. There is a monument to the easternmost tip of Okinawa nearby, and you can see the rough deep blue sea. This is an important route for daily life as there are times when the boat cannot come due to drought.

An airport with a local feel that fits the image perfectly But the send-off deck? (There are not many high places, so I guess it can be used as an evacuation site in case of an emergency.) It feels like a remote island, which is very nice. When I was leaving, I didn't know which direction the plane was coming from, so I tried to look at it on FilightRadar24, but it wasn't listed. You don't ride everything.
