This place is amazing! All of the ladies are so nice and helpful. Kiyoko cut my hair and she did AMAZING! I have thick, curly hair so it's a struggle to find someone that won't butcher your hair. I would HIGHLY recommend Kiyoko to anyone with curly hair. She does wonders! I drove over an hour for this haircut and it was well worth the trip. My overall experience was amazing. The hair wash was a little shy of 30 minutes, and every minute was very relaxing! Paying was quick and easy as well. The salon is also very clean. Again, would recommend this place to anyone. (I posted an after picture of my curly hair cut).

Dear curly heads in Tokyo, now you are safe. Kiyoko knows what to do. She is very gentle and put your hair and style first. Book special curly hair course. It will take you longer that usual, around two hours. Kiyoko made me really good cut. Moreover, she explained me how to deal with curly hair to make them look outstanding. I forgot about frizzy hair. The only problem I have now, nobody believes me that my curls are natural.

I have curly hair and I live in Tokyo. By far the best cut and service I had in Japan, they spoke perfect english and really good doing curly hair - two things you won’t find anywhere else. Kiyoko is awesome and a true curls sensei. 100% recommend!

Nepenji is a really lovely salon and I highly recommend it for curly hair people. Kiyoko, specifically, speaks English and has a lot of experience with curls. So is the stylist I see. She and the staff here never fail to make my curls look so good people wonder if it's even real. Prices are a steal for the quality of care you receive. Also, if you are a fan of deva curl products or need a shampoo thatll be gentle on your hair, you can buy product here!

I have been coming here since I decided to stop straightening my hair three years ago. Actually, Kiyoko san gave me a free consultation back when I was just starting to transition, and she even gave me a beautiful slicked back styling for free! I have been going to her ever since-- now my 3c-4a afro curly hair stretches below my shoulder blades and just two days ago, I went to Kiyoko for another first: curly bangs! She did a wonderful job, she encouraged me (no other stylist has said it was ok to try bangs) and I am still happy despite the humidity and a certain wildness that comes us curlies' way. I highly recommend her--I've lived here for 17 years and she rocks it every time!
